Hand selected by GEW-LLC
G.E.W.llc has listed a few websites that offer on line training, at no charge and an end of course certificate of completion (or similar documentation).  If you know of other organizations that offer free training with a certificate of completion, please send to us and we will review and add to our list. Our goal is to help shop teachers throughout the USA in providing meaningful, measurable online courses that promote safety for their students.

Government Agencies

  • Oregon OSHA’s webpage is a great resource for free OR-OSHA specific safety training.  Under the tab “Education & Training”; then Under “On-line Courses”. You will find over 20 excellent training classes.  The great thing about this site is at the completion of the class the student can print a Certificate of Completion”.  https://osha.oregon.gov/edu/Pages/index.aspx
  • OSH Academy offers an extensive list of free online safety training courses and resources.  They do not charge a fee for students to take our courses. They only charge a small fee if you want OSHAcademy to maintain your training records and provide certificates and transcripts to document your training. https://www.oshatrain.org/index.html
  • FEMA has some great classes on line.  Does require registration and is a little complex to register.   Finding classes suitable for high school level is a challenge but for the teacher….  Use the Search when reviewing available on line classes there are a lot of classes offered https://training.fema.gov/is/crslist.aspx

Manufactures

Associations

  • American Ladder Institute has free ladder training for many different types of ladders.  Good programs. Registration required. End of course certificate available.   www.laddersafetytraining.org
  • International Association of Arson Investigators has great online training programs.  These multi course programs might be too complex for high school students but taking an introduction class might encourage students into this interesting profession.  The instructor will need to advise the student taking which course (maybe the first course of “Principles of Fire Investigation”).   www.cfitrainer.net/Multi-Program-Certificates
