SENIOR SAFETY CONSULTANT

As a life-long learner and maximizer, I have a strong desire to continuously learn and share. I value a learning organization and seek to create psychological safety for my team and organization. I never desire to be the smartest person in the room but to surround myself with team members who have knowledge I may lack. I have had the privilege of working in roles that allow me to put others first, creating inclusion and safety programs that serve others’ physical and psychological safety and well-being.

I have my undergraduate degree in Applied Business Management from Clark Collage as well as my AAS Degree from Mt Hood Community College in Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health

I have been flattered to have been recognized:

• American Society of Safety Professionals President’s Award – 2023

• American Society of Safety Professionals Charles V. Culbertson Outstanding Volunteer Service Award – 2023

• Portland Business Journal – Woman of Influence Honoree – 2022

• Women of Vision – 2020, Daily Journal of Commerce, Portland, OR

• American Society of Safety Engineers – Columbia Willamette Chapter Safety Professional of the Year 2001- 2002

As the Corporate Safety Director of Anderson Construction from 1994-2020 I lead our team in all aspects of safety, risk management, claims management & Injured Workers’ management and HR functions.

In 2020 I accepted the challenge of Inclusion Diversity Equity Advocacy & Leadership Program Director at Anderson Construction.

In March of 2024 after a long and successful carrier at Anderson I joined the startup company QST as part of their Senior Management team to launch and expand the business while assisting contractors in reducing Re-work costs and reducing employee injuries.

I live in Vancouver WA with my husband Travis of 25 years. One of the most exciting things I am looking forward to at QST is working with my son Kai who is a Safety Content Writer for us.
