LINKEDIN PROFILE

Duane’s motto: “There is nothing that is so important that we do, that we can’t take the time to do it safely.”

Duane has over 28 years of occupational safety and health experience assisting employers and employees in maintaining safe and healthy work environments, with over 20 years specializing in providing solutions in safety for the staffing industry. Under his tenure his previous employer became the first staffing service and 10th overall employer to graduate from Oregon OSHA’s Safety & Health Recognition Program (SHARP).

Duane’s number one goal is to partner with our clients and offer them the best service possible to help enhance their safety process by matching solutions with opportunity to ensure safe and healthy work environments. Duane’s expertise positions him to provide safety consultation services to assist staffing agencies/host employers, general industry, assembly, manufacturing and lumber mills with compliance of ever-changing Local, State and Federal rules. Here at G.E.W. llc we are encouraged to work as a team and are compelled to look for ways to help each other perform our jobs better in the service we deliver, the technology we utilize and the commitment we have toward continuous training and education. Duane’s philosophy is summoned up in three quotes; “What can I do to help you do your job better” and “Continue to recognize, value and acknowledge the skills and contribution of each individual, especially those of family and co-workers” and as President, Harry Truman said; “It’s amazing how much you can accomplish when you don’t care who gets the credit.”

Duane is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Columbia-Willamette and Cascade Chapters, and the Oregon SHARP Alliance, where he currently serves on the Executive Board as 2nd Vice Chair and Treasurer. He has also won numerous awards in the industry.

Duane enjoys boating, ocean fishing, and spending time with his enterprising wife, Janice, and their three Dachshunds and three parrots.
